Diversity and the Bibliographical Society

The Society welcomes all who are interested in bibliography, understood as study that encompasses diverse textual artefacts, is global in reach, and benefits from varied methodological approaches. The Society holds that bibliographical scholarship embraces a thorough understanding of its subjects’ provenance and historical context, recognising that material collections have a complex history with continually evolving practices.

The Society celebrates the diverse range of backgrounds from which bibliographers are drawn and it will continue to ensure that all of its members have equal opportunities of contributing to the Society, including participating in its events, in using its resources, and in serving on its Council, Committees and Working Groups, and as its Officers.
