Cancelled.
The Bibliographical Society is pleased to offer a morning of bibliographical training, to be held in Manchester at the John Rylands Library on Friday, 22 May.

The event will run from 10:00-12:30 and will provide an introduction to topics such as the identification of bibliographical format, writing a collation formula and recognising important features of hand-press books.  It is open to anyone who needs these skills but is particularly aimed at:

  • Book dealers and collectors of antiquarian material
  • Scholars and students doing intensive work on hand-press books
  • Librarians and other information professionals, such as archivists who may be expected to manage collections of early printed books

Refreshments will be provided, but not lunch.  To apply, please send an email to admin@bibsoc.org.uk stating your reasons for applying.  We have a maximum of 16 spaces available, so early application is encouraged.
